Jo has a track record of engaging in bold and innovative design - from her early career as an Education Curator at the NGV, Education Advisor at the ABC, and founder of Express Australia Youth Media and Communications Inc; she brings a fresh approach to program and policy design, product design and co-design, testing the boundaries and exploring new connections and directions.  For ten years she has exhibited artists and designers on her 'Art Meets Nature' site biophiliarts.com. She has held senior management and consultancy roles in the Creative Industries across business, government, universities and non-profit sectors spanning Education, Media and Communications, Tourism, Regional Health and Regional Development.

 

Studio JOMO is Jo's creative design practice is based in her bespoke Mid-Century Modern home (designed by distinguished architect, Peter McIntyre) in Bairnsdale, East Gippsland.  There she designs monumental garden sculpture and furnishings and hosts her co-design lab, Sanctuary E.G Inc; formed to advocate and publish on the role of cultural and creative industries in regional economies,  to promote creativity as the key to strengthening regional identity and to explore structural, policy and connectivity issues.
