Jo has a track record of engaging in bold and innovative design - from her early career experiences as Education Curator at the NGV, and Education Advisor at the ABC, and the founding of Express Australia Inc,  she has brought a fresh and innovative approach to program and policy design, product design and co-design, testing the boundaries and exploring new connections and directions.  For ten years she has exhibited artists and designers on her 'Art Meets Nature' site, biophiliarts.com. She has held senior management and consultancy roles in the Creative Industry; with business, government and the non-profit sectors spanning Education, Media and Communications, Tourism, Regional Health and Regional Development.

 

Studio JOMO is her creative design practice where she produces sculptural garden furnishings in marine grade stainless steel. Her birdbath collection made her a finalist in the Victorian Premier's design awards. Sanctuary E.G co-design lab Inc. founded by Jo in East Gippsland was formed to promote the role of cultural and creative industry in regional economies,  to strengthen regional identity and to explore structural, policy and connectivity issues.
